The Never Ending Battle

Post by Saviour on Sun Mar 26, 2017 2:55 pm

It was with narrowed red eyes that the silver haired youth would look around the strange area that he found himself in, he knew not how he had gotten here nor why he was here in the first place, but this place simply felt...wrong, as if it both existed and did not exist at the same time...a disturbing feeling to say the least. His mind seemed to be...clouded, he could easily remember who he was, and what his fighting skills were...but everything else was blank, he simply could not recall anything at all besides his fighting skills...and that begged the question, why was that the only one of his many memories that was left intact. It mattered not for the time being, what mattered was finding out just where he was and why he had been found himself in such a strange looking land.

The area looked almost like...a long dead forest, the withered husks of tree's were scattered all throughout the area like decorations, and what looked to be the bed of a long dried up river was also present. It looked to be around 3 meters deep, not steep in the slightest, and within was a mixture of both sand and small stones. The most disturbing thing however, was the sky, rather than being the same light blue that he had come to expect from looking up, it was a deep brown colour, with hints of black and red scattered throughout....and the sun...well, to put it simply, it was gone, and in its place was a black void, surrounded by what looked to be a whirlpool of blood. Everything here in this land was wrong, nothing was as it should be...and honestly, the silver haired youth found himself feeling more at home here than he did back in the land he had come from, after-all, the land of humans was no place for a monster

The boy felt quite at home indeed. Not like most of the temporary inhabitants of these forest. It all felt like a long dream. Waking up here, only recollecting combat and abilities. Another, eager to kill. Only to be killed. The reigning champion it seemed of these parts at least. He dared not escape the clutches of these dead husks, that was the world they lived in now. Regions as if villages, ruled by one man or woman. Its Kage. And what else was a Kage to do, other than to protect his village from infiltrators?

Though he was nothing like a Kage in his own eyes. He was so much more, yet to others seeming to be far less. A Reaper. Nothing. Though a Reaper for many reason. One being no one ever told the tale of seeing him. Well at least, those that still lived in this world. Only rumors, of quick moving patches of dirt kicked from the sky though no lifeforms to be found. This would be witnessed from the leaders of the other regions around them, though where they were was the heart center of this dead forest. He could remember the time it was somewhat filled with green, back when he first arrived and once feared death. When he wanted to leave. Now, the green was gone, burnt away by his own choosing, alongside his once humane mentality.

The reigning King of this area, nowhere to hide with all of the chopped down trees and drained river bank, he watched his new prey arrive. His jet black spiky hair streaking out, though the wind would show it wasn’t all that resistance as it danced in its direction. The caramel skin, being hidden away by a gray colored out jacket, underneath being a black tee. His black pants would accompany the black sandals to follow. An average weapon pouch, a greatsword and curved/jagged dagger on his hip side. Those gray lifeless eyes staring at his opponent before him, though a good distance away. His eyes would bulge wide open, categorizing the boy's lifeless eyes with such ecstasy as being abnormal. A smirk unable to be found, only bulging dead eyes.

Studying the boy all over, for any abnormalities and weapons he may have, it was safe to say he noted them all once revealed. Obtaining one of the four kunais attached to his thigh, he would throw it lazily at the target before him. It would be aimed at the boys throat. Though this Reaper wouldn’t simply watch to see what would happen, he was already moving atop of the husk left behind in these area. The place was riddled with them all over, though obviously not in the used to be river. He would glide along each one as he came at towards his opponent side of the field, though not actually stepping towards him. The river to his left, he would run towards the left at an angle, already beginning hand seals during his run. He was watching the boy the whole time, eager to view upon his actions.

The eyes of the pale skinned youth would not have stopped scanning the area from the very moment he had arrived, and despite the lighting of this place being a little darker than what he was used to he was still able to see quite clearly. Now, he had been unable to see the reigning Lord of the region in which he had found himself due to the fact that he was not looking in the correct direction, but his ears were able to pick up the familiar sound of steel cutting through air as the kunai thrown at him approached. With practiced ease the silver haired teen would simply tilt his head to the right, and due to the fact that the Lords target had been his throat the kunai would fly right past his neck, and as it did so it managed to cut nothing but air...and a couple of his silver locks.

So...there was somebody else here...and they were out for his blood, well, if they wished to make him bleed they would have to try harder than that, but then again, that was probably just a way to test whether or not he was simply prey. With the clothes he was clad in it was hard to tell if he was actually a threat, as he was clad simply in a pair of dark grey pants, a sleeveless dark red vest, and a pair of steel capped grey boots. The arms of the pale skinned youth appeared to be completely free of any scars or markings, giving nothing about his abilities away. On his thigh he could feel the familiar weight of his dagger, that was quite possibly his favourite weapon..as it allowed him to get close and watch the face of his victims contort in pain as he robbed them of their lives. Strapped to the hem of his pants was a pouch, filled with quite a few steel implements, and what felt like...paper, hmm, interesting, he knew exactly what they were, but he had not remembered possessing them before this arriving in this area.

The unnamed young man would look in the direction that the kunai came from, just managing to spot his opponent as he began to glide through the area with practiced grace, it seemed from the ease of his movements that he knew the area well. No matter, as his black haired opponent began to form hand seals as he ran to the left the silver haired youth would begin his own moves, quickly forming the boar and tiger hand seals. The result of this, well, his opponent would feel the earth beneath his feet get replaced by an adhesive, chakra filled mud, this chakra filled mud would ensnare the boys feet, and begin to pull him down into it’s depths. The swamp was exactly 30 meters in diameter, in a perfect circle, meaning it was exactly 15 meters in every direction for the boy to try to escape, but then again, the moment that his feet became ensnared by the mud the fight would have been over, as once caught, the person within would need a rather monumental amount of strength to escape.

But that was not the end of it, the moment that he had formed the swamp the silver haired teen would use his next technique, it required no hand seals, so it was formed at the exact same moment as the swamp. With this technique the sky above the swamp would open up, revealing a purple and blue void, the void was 40 meters in diameter, more than surpassing the swamp in size, and it was exactly ten meters off the surface of the ground. Almost as soon as the void had opened a large amount of red tinged mud would begin to fall towards the ground, the speed of the drop being slightly slower than one would expect, almost like a syrup being split from a spoon. He mainly used this in case his opponent decided to jump in order to avoid the swamp...but then again that was quite possibly the only move he would have left, unless he somehow managed to avoid being ensnared by the mud, but then again with it appearing so suddenly and without any form of warning he did not see how he could avoid it.

If these worked his opponent would find himself completely buried within a sea of viscous mud, unable to move any part of his body, let alone escape from the prison.

The teen had actually already finished the hand seals he needed to make before the silver haired boy could react. He was so busy wrapped up in another direction, that it allowed the Reaper to cast his jutsu just before the boy evaded the kunai in time. The beautiful swamp. How it was a loved jutsu by many, even him for the current point of time. The mud swamp would already entangle his opponent upon its spawning, the jutsu being 30 meters in diameter, meaning it in fact had 15 meters in all directions. The boy was already sinking before he could even react to what was going on, just as he narrowly dodged the kunai it taking his attention away, and beginning to realize the swamp. Its dimensions and way of being sinking him even more, engulfing him into the ground. The Reaper had to admit, this one was a bit slower than the rest.

He would continue by using his hand seals to blow a wind slice at the boy, cutting him in two. He couldn't move at this point so it would be target practice. During this time he also summoned a void above the boy at 10 meters above the ground. It would drip out red tinged mud, falling to the ground like syrup. This was his burial site, the boy in the mud. It was a shame the fight had to go as it did. Being sliced in two, buried in mud and only mud. A very...Sticky situation.

The Reaper would still be on his guard, though at this point the boy was already in the mud sinking to his death, not strong enough to kick himself out of there. And seemingly no EGF to get aid to bring himself out. The mud above would devour him. Being sliced in two, he would drown. He would watch in anticipation for him to possibly get out from a distance, but this was inevitably the end due to his own mistakes.

Now, the unnamed youth was a little surprised by the technique that had been used against him, the Swamp of the Underworld...how quaint, his own technique used against him like that...well if this attacked thought that this farce would slide how wrong he was. He would not panic in the slightest, this tactic had been used against him before and it would no doubt be used again, but just like the last time someone had tried this tactic against him he would be the victor, and his opponent would die for their ignorance. With a calm confidence the pale skinned youth would continue with the same course of action, for the most part anyway. Deciding not to use the Swamp of the Underworld, he would simply use the Sticky Earth drop, this would happen at the exact same moment as he dodged the opponents kunai, leaving him some time before the sticky earth above him hit, same went for the Blade of Wind.

This time the void would open a mere 5 meters above his opponent, and the void would be 50 meters large, with the opponent in the direct center. And now to escape this...annoyance of a swamp, he would form the Ram Handseal and use an absolutely massive amount of chakra, half of his overall reserves in fact. This would have the result in the ground beneath him being turned to sand, but it did not end there, oh no, he began to sink into the ground rapidly, but as he did so the terrain around him began to follow, sinking into the massive sinkhole that he had created. Absolutely everything around him began to be sucked into the sinkhole, all of the tree's and all of the boulders, absolutely everything that was attached to the ground within 100 meters of his position would find itself being sucked into the center of this pit before being sucked under and buried deep within the earth, something that had served as the mass grave for many of his enemies. The sheer pressure down there being enough to reduce even the largest of boulders to nothing but dust, so what chance would the body of his enemy have to survive.

His enemy would be sucked into the sinkhole, and once caught he would find it impossible to escape, the only way for him to avoid this technique would be to not get touched by the sinkhole, which would be very hard considering he used the Sticky Earth Drop right above him to leave him unable to jump. How would the user of this technique be able to avoid being killed you may find yourself asking, well, the beauty of this technique was that it allowed it's user to move freely thought the sand that they had created. But until he saw his opponent get buried he would not let his guard down in the slightest.

Re: The Never Ending Battle

The boy had a trick up his sleeve. That much was clear. As he continued to remain calm and even confident in the current situation of the battle, it was obvious to the Reaper it was time to back up and assess the situation for any potential moves he may cause. Could be a suicide bomber. He wasn't close to the boy by any means, however just in case. As he began dashing backwards away from his opponent with hazardous speed, he noticed that the sky had a shadow as he was running. The jutsu he just used earlier, how appealing. It would have been aimed to take 50 meters in diameters, so basically 25 meters in each direction. It would be quicker to get out of its way by heading the direction he was initial at before this fight began, calling this north. He altered his way of moving towards that direction with haste, as the boy began to use a single hand seal. The feeling of earth moving below and above. How beautiful indeed.

Though this Reaper was a step ahead of his opponent. Using a single wind jutsu, he would jump into the air, being horizontal to the earth, his back to the ground facing his opponent, as he released a powerful ongoing blast of wind towards where he was looking, projecting him through the air with a high speed. He angled his feat to evade the wind, it being enough to get the job done yet not harm him. From there, he took advantage of physiques. He would plant himself on each tree he saw moment he felt as if he was losing speed, and use those trees as boost to continue to propel forward, his face now facing where he was heading. It was just like jumping through trees to get around town basically. How easy it was as he went throughout the air. Some trees could not withstand his speed and weight upon using it as leverage, toppling to the ground. Most however, were able to withstand though most likely bending. They were still trees after all.

Though the attack was intended to expand 100, at the rate he was going he would outmatch it due to some variables. The amount of time he caught on to the attack, and it needing to fully activate by becoming a sink hole. Already getting a running start on it, he would be about 20 meters ahead of the oncoming attack. With the sinkhole trying to catch up if it did, he still had his trees not yet fallen ahead to keep him going. The attack from above, though useful indeed, was no match for the rate the Reaper was going. Him being at in essence a crouching distance from the ground would inevitably cause him to succeed breaking through the range of the attack, making him the victor in this small tide of changing. The increasing speed he was going as well dashing from tree to tree, and simply soaring through the air would also help him evade this sinkhole that the enemy had cooked up. As he was nearing the end of the range of the sinkhole, the boy had no clue where it ended since he was in fact in front of it. Therefore, he kept moving an extra 20 meters away from the attacks range, until he used the same wind jutsu towards the direction he was moving at, slowly speeding down and beginning to stop completely, before elegantly coming to the ground. He used near to none chakra, while his opponent most likely used a handful. Probably extremely weakened at this point.

He would watch the sand from the distance, unaware of his next course of action. He took away a lot of land, something the Reaper actually liked. That river from before was now gone, a piece of his land taken from a robber. Maybe it was time to expand his empire, take over a few other places around him. He would sigh after making a single unique hand seal. A puff of smoke, and a few shadows to appear, spread out amongst each other. Waiting for his opponents next attack. He wouldn’t be aware of the new additions to the family, however was interested to see what his tired out foe had in plan. Maybe he would decide to fight in close quarters. Only time would tell. The three would dig themselves into the soil a bit with a few kicks to it, it's weak structure unable to sit together. Planting their feet inside, they should be able to feel any form of reactions or movements coming from below, sealing off the thought of a sneak attack. Though that was in fact what he wanted.

The earth release user could only give a sigh of annoyance at the fact this his opponent was not caught within his trap, this person was proving to be quite elusive prey...and to make matters worse he was down a rather large amount of chakra. 'Guess I'll be sticking to small scale attacks from here' the red eyed teen would think to himself as he allowed himself to sink into the sand created by his Antlion technique, making his way in the direction that he felt his opponent approaching from before, eventually reaching the end of the 100 meter pit. He was currently 25 meters below the surface of the earth, more than deep enough to avoid any form of detection from the opponent unless of course he was a sensory type shinobi...oh those guys were quite annoying to deal with.

No matter, using his Hiding Like a Mole technique, which used an absolutely tiny amount of chakra, he would begin to move through the earth that had not been turned to sand by his Antlion technique earlier, although it was being turned to sand now due to the effects of his Hiding Like a Mole. Due to the unique form of sensory that was granted to him by the effects of Hiding Like a Mole the silver haired youth could feel that there were multiple people, of course he was unable to tell that they were clones, and as such immediately believed that he was being hunted by a gang of people.

Now, he was 25 meters beneath the surface of the earth, moving through sand due to the effects of the Hiding Like a Mole, and as such there would be no way for the people above to feel his movements through the earth unless they were using a specialized jutsu of some kind. Forming the Bird hand seal spears of earth would form right beneath each of the people above, these spears would be formed completely silently, and they would be unable to feel the earth move to form them until they had already formed The spears would form just behind each of the targets, and they would spear them directly through the back of their knee's, effectively disabling them unless they managed to dodge.

The boys would wait. And wait. And wait. Nothing. They began to grow tired of waiting, beginning to think that maybe the should call off the plan. When they noticed something odd. They were all looking at one another, in a formation that looked as if they were one triangle. Of course, one was able to watch the sand as two had their backs to it, though it was truly two that looked out towards the sand and where they were. Ready for battle, already in stances as they were low to the ground at any moment's notice. The trees being a good vantage point, surrounding them and working with them the whole time. Then they saw it. Movement from the ground, and out came earth spears. They were keeping tabs on one another of course, a formation like that one should of course do such a thing. The likelihood of their opponent just attacking one of them was barely possible, and they knew that. They acted with haste as the attack would be formed, aiming at their knees. With the ground being soggy and weak, they would notice this attack to come.

Flipping backwards, they would make handstands taking advantage of their positions as is to avoid the attack. Pushing off of their hands with a valiant thrust, they would once again be on their feet, spread out now covering more ground. They would make a few hand seals before placing their hands on the ground, to turn the ground below them covering their now extended range to sand. All of the Reaper clones and even the real one would look down at the ground with boredom, and once at each other. If this was all the fight would turn too, whack a mole, then this fight could potentially be over. He couldn’t sustain that jutsu that kept him underground forever, and he was continuing to dwindle his chakra. Back to back actions like this would only make it harder. Now on their guard for the ground below, the team would go back to watching out for any trouble and having one anothers back. The mastermind still waiting with a cool gaze and bored expression, feeling as if that was his opponent's intent then he would never win. His accomplices doing the dirty work.

Now, the handstands were where his opponents fucked up, big time, that and expecting that those were the only spears that he would use, now you see, the heads of all of his opponents only ended up being but 10cm above the surface of the ground once they had landed in their stands, and at that point it was far too late for them to notice their folly. You see, as soon as he felt them all flip back to avoid his attack, he had begun to form more spears in the exact locations that they would have landed, and due to them landing in handstands, well, when the head of a human meets the pointed tip of extremely dense and hard stone...the result is not pretty.

Now, unlike his earlier attacks, there was next to no way for his opponant to dodge this one, due to their positioning when flipping backwards none of them would be able to see the stone spears beginning to form, nor would they be able to feel it as they had left the earth. The group would not be able to hear it either, and unless they had somehow magically gained some form of chakra sensory since his last attack they would be completely unable to react in any way until it was far too late. All of his opponents would find themselves impaled through the head, they would not have even been able to see what they were going to land upon, they would be completely unaware of anything being wrong until their lives slipped away.

The clones were dead. Reaper would look down at the ground, with a bored look on his face. He was being supported by a branch sturdy enough to keep him up, one of the rarities of these lands. He wasn't directly underneath the place where the clones died, a few trees back if that to make sure any surprise attacks wouldn't get him. Though he was waiting, at this moment nothing more then a stalemate. His opponent would need to get out of the ground sometime, he unwilling to go on the ground obviously knowing where he would be, and his opponent wasn't aware of where he was therefore causing a stalemate.

The gray eyes would look up at the sky, igniting it with a simple fire ball. Black rain clouds to come soon after with the passing time, and dripping from the skies would be red water. These lands were evil indeed. Haunted. He enjoyed the rain though when he made it come. Good to know the world still held the same characteristics as the normal one. It would harden the sand and make it more mushy, alongside the ground. Now to wait.
